Step Into Their Shoes: A Table-Top Escape Room Experience
This interactive, escape-room-style activity places participants directly in the shoes of children and young people who face language barriers — whether they are learning English as an additional language or have a communication difficulty.
With around three children in every classroom experiencing Special Educational Needs, this activity brings that reality to life. Participants take on the roles of poets, actors, and artists, each receiving different levels of visual support. Who will succeed — and why?
Purpose:
Demonstrate the powerful role of visuals in increasing access to learning
Boost confidence in using visuals spontaneously and effectively
